[today] met up with ml, les & pf. Went to Ni Jyuu Maru for lunch. Ate katsu curry rice & fried oyster! wow! supper yummy sia! Hehehe! Then went to Taka shop abit lah, drank ice coffee @ coffee club. Service not very good, and the ice coffee so bitter, lolz! So, did some catching up with the girls. Felt a little guilty when les bought stuffs for her siblings. Hahahah! I mean i hardly buy anything for Tuan lah, but then Tuan is such a picky fella! hahahaha! nvm...she will have to see for herself. All the best to you lah pf...i hope nothing goes wrong for u k...
Well, we wont know what will happen to us lah. Problems can just pop up suddenly. I think we will just have to give each other our support as much as we can. That's what friends are for!

Tv Drama Review 11 - GL, Pride, Hotman I, II

[Good Luck] TBS Actors: Kimura Takuya, Tsutsumi Shinichi, Shibasaki Kou, Uchiyama Rina, Kuroki Hitomi, Kaname Jun etc
Kimu-taku fans should know this 2003 drama with an excellent plot. Besides having a nice OST, everything is just right for a good J dorama. KT acted as a 2nd pilot Shinkai Hajime who would have a romance with SK's Ogawa Ayumi. Also, he would have a gd dui shou xi with TS's Kouda Kazuki. Honestly, i like TS alot too..another excellent but very COOL actor. Hahaha! Plot mostly revolves at the airport, cant say much as the drama is short. Basically Shinkai would face ups & downs in his career lah. A must watch for all J dorama fans!
[Pride] FujiTV Actors: Kimura Takuya, Takeuchi Yuko, Sakaguchi Kenji, Nakagoshi Noriko, Sato Koichi etc
Actually i felt disappointed with KT's 2004 drama. The plot just went downhill, quite boring in the middle. This drama is about ice-hockey lah. KT's Haru is the soul person in the group and he would have romance with TY's Aki. Actually Haru this fella doesnt believe in love, and Aki was waiting for her bf to return. So they played a love game while she continues to wait lah. SK's character was average though, but i think he did well overall. The theme song is an old song from Queen..."born to love you". Overall, the drama is just above average, but KT fans shld not miss it lah.

The 1st series had a higher rating, but personally i preferred the 2nd series more. A warm family drama; ST's Furiya Enzo had a daughter Nanami (YN) who had skin disease. Thus, he made everyone in the family to eat those healthy food prepared by him. But until now i dont know Nanami's mum is who leh. (think Nanami is not his own child lah) Enzo worked in Nanami's pri sch as an art teacher and YA's Misuzu Kaneko had a crush on him. The rest of the cast acted as Enzo's siblings with different fathers. Amazing right? Hahaha! Actually i dont like the scenes when the siblings quarrelled lah...it seems like Enzo always started it and took the blame in the end. Haiz~ Nanami is a very cute girl...love her so much in the dorama!

I watched this series first before catching the 1st part. It started off by saying Enzo and Nanami went to stay beside the sea. Enzo is still a teacher while Nanami has a small bf whom she always played with..haha! The other siblings all lead their own lives in the city lah. IM's Shima came to visit them, but actually her organic shop was closed down lah. Thus, the family lost their mum's house as it was mortaged to the bank i think. So, Enzo returned to the city with Nanami and started to save money to get their house back. One by one the siblings would come back and stay with Enzo lah...but again they would quarrell lah. Really hate those scenes man! As for Nanami, she had some trouble in school with the gal sitting beside her. Actually she backstabbed Nanami by saying she is country pumpkin etc and destroyed her textbook. But Nanami is a really good child and forgave her lah..so in the end they were 2 good buddies lah. So, what's the ending leh? Check it out yourself lah...
The Hotman series had themesongs sang by Exile..all very nice to hear k! Dont be too surprised to hear Nanami calling her dad by his name "Enzo~"..haha! Actually she did tried to call him daddy but Enzo found it weird himself. Hah! Also, love the family names hang outside their house gate. Initially only Enzo & Nanami's name, while the other siblings' names were covered. So one by one their names would be uncovered until the whole family is together again. So heartwarming sia~~recommend it to u guys!

Chaotic situation

[yday] super sianz with the E revision reg yday. Besides many class slots were being full, we were left with quite pathetic slots lah. Kaoz! Imagine i have to attend Econs lects alone?? OMG! Also, i had picked the best bdae present for myself this yr. That is...POA lect from 6pm to 9pm! WTH! Lucky got my usual SIM gang with me..haiz~ Kenna 2 night lectures for my revision and 1 weekend ( sat & sun). Imagine my whole wkend have to spend in sch from 10am to 5pm? Have to skip Nihongo lesson too..idiot sia! Alright, whole april gone to the revision classes..sickening. Haiz!
[today] sc & vi's turn to reg..went to the comp labs lah..everybody was kan chiong lah..plus the comp systems were quite lag. So when they finally reached the page to choose, the rest of us were kan chiong to tell them what to pick sia..LOLz! Hope we didnt make a scene out there. Hahaha!
Well, today is V day also. As for me it is like friendship day lah. (an excuse for ppl like me? haha!) Anyway, exchanged little gifts with my SIM gang lah. Think i would stop eating chocolates for awhile...hahahah! Thanks lah guys..

Yuan Xiao Jie a.k.a Lantern Festival

[today] First of all...today marks the last day of CNY. A little sad lah..coz i'm still in the holiday mood. Hahaha! Had steamboat for dinner, though i'm supposed to eat vegetarian today. Shall bu chang tmr. Hehe! These 2 weeks there were events held at the plain field outside my house. Also, got a mini themepark lah. Thurs kenna Ge Tai..super noisy. Now, there's Chingay activity here lah..lots of people there. Hahaha! Just saw some Hua Ches, fire crackers and the VIP Mr George Yeo etc arrived at the venue. Went downstairs to take pictures too! wow! so beautiful ne!!!This is what you have to sacrifice when you stay at the central part of the town. But then, it's nice to see crowds of people here & there lah. Ironic huh? haha!
Anyway, read about Yuan Xiao Jie from a book about chinese festivals. So we really have a different culture here lah, compared to other chinese counterparts. Last yr, my taiwanese pal told me that they ate Tang Yuan & carry lanterns during YXJ lah, and she was shocked to know we dont do that in SG. hahaha! Honestly, i dont know much about YXJ too...hardly celebrate mah. But at least now i know what it is all about, so ok lah.

Tv Drama Review 10 - HR, TLB, ICAC' 04

[天国的嫁衣 Heaven's robes] Settv/Cts Actors: Leon J Williams, Cyndi Wang, Ming Dao, Guan Ying etc
Dont expect the same thing if you had watched "WZBQW". The plot went downhill in the middle and the drama simply dragged too long. They shld have kept it to 20 epis instead of 29. Plot was simple, a plain jane Tao ai qing met her "enemy" Lu zi hao in Paris. Of coz they werent in good terms when they returned to taiwan. Ai qing also met the racing champion Cheng Hai Nuo, who was interested in her too. So, to save her farm from being confiscated by Zi hao, ai qing went to work for him and then something sparks b/w them la. Alright, a love triangle here. Katrina (Guan Ying) was zi hao's gf but she wld disappeared half way lah...was surprised that she didnt remain in the show till the end. Basically there wld be a few luv triangles here & there..and zi hao's dad really sux. Dont like wang yue to act as zi hao's mum..she's better to be shan cai's mum lah...not convincing in acting rich wife's role. Hahaha! So end up the plot is like pushing ai qing here & there b/w hai nuo and zi hao..sianz! Dont worry, ending not bad lah. The plot sux because there were many twist & turns too, and what made it worse was the acting skills. Ming dao is not bad considering him as a newbie. Though somehow i find his talking tone like dang ou leh. Hahaha! Dun like his shouting scenes though, just plain angry look, nothing else le. Cyndi was ok lah, though sometimes she try to act cute lah..hahaha! As for our Leon leh, besides his mandarin accent which sounds like singaporean...his spoke english lots of time too. Sometimes i find this quite irritating...either you speak all mandarin or just a little eng lah. Dont suddenly speak one sentence of mandarin and the rest in eng..very funny leh. cant demand too much on his acting, hope he has made improvements in his 2nd drama. The rest of the actors are so so lah, think their acting skills cannot make it..given my standards. hahaha! Conclusion: Watch if you have nothing to do, or just catch the front epis...
[天涯侠医 The Last Breakthrough] TVB Actors: Nicky Cheung, Sonijia Kwok, Raymond Lam, Leila Tong, Bosco Wong, Chen Min Zhi, Lian Kai etc
Surprisingly it turns out to be a nice drama. Given the viewership in HK, i thought it's just an average drama. Nicky was a xin zang ke doc but changed to fu chan ke after his gf gigi leung died in an accident. He worked in dragon city and was a volunteer of the life force. Leila acted as gigi's sister xiao qing..and wld have a luv triangle with raymond and min zhi.. Dun really like this luv triangle, xiao qing was too "considerate" to give up raymond just for friendship...kinda fake lah. Sonijia was a nurse who has a sick bro lah. Anyway she wld have a small luv triangle b/w nicky & lian kai (taiwanese actor). The plot actually moves well up till the part when raymond & sonijia found themselves having cancer. Hey why suddenly so many ppl kenna cancer ah? dont like this part lor...haha! Ending last epi was rather rush, so didnt really like it though it was a gd ending lah. As for the acting wise, i wld say the whole cast did a great job. Really like the scenes in africa, very realistic and amazing. As for the part in guangxi, the sceneries were damn nice. People who have watched "cha shi gu xiang nong" & "jiu shi gu xiang chun" shld find the place familiar lah. A must watch for all TVB fans, and the themesong by raymond was captivating!
[廉政行动2004 ICAC] TVB Actors: Anthony Wong, Shao Mei Qi, Julian Chueng, Alex Fong, Marco Ngai, Tang Wen Long, Chen Jian Feng, Yoyo Mung, Harwick Lau etc
Only 5 epis, 5 stories with a super grand cast. Actually tvb can expand it to a normal drama (at least 20 epis). The plots were fast and exciting. No dragging but no romance too. Hahhaha! Though i wouldnt say the drama was very action pack, it was still great lah. ICAC are not normal police force..they are actually those who catch ppl for corruption lah. So all of them wore suits etc..very pro lah! hahaha! Though i think the chance for channel u to show is very little, ppl u can catch it on vcds lah..not expensive anyway. haha!

My Korean Chingus...

Went to Chinatown mrt station on time to meet my korean chatpal Emily & her friend. They were late for 15 mins, but lucky they found their way to the mrt. I was surprised they took the bus instead. Hahaha! So brought them to take a look at chinatown and had lunch at the hawker centre. So Emily's friend, Ka Hee wanted to find some Qi Pao tops for her grandma, but we didnt really manage to find one.
Both of them were curious about Singaporean food, but there are just too many to choose. Hahahaha! I recommended wanton mee, sliced fish noodles & sugar cane drink.
Brought them to see a Hindu temple too and we walked all the way to Singapore River. I was surprised that i didnt get tired after walking for so long. Hahaha! So from Boat Quay we walked all the way to Clark Quay and had a rest at Haagen Diaz restuarant. Emily treated me with a cup of cuppocino and banana split. Honestly, this is my first time eating banana split lah. Haha!
Went to Bugis after that. Intro them Bras Basah & National library. Then they saw clothes in "This Fashion"...i was like accompanying them without looking at the clothes at all. Hahaha! Ka hee asked if i like shopping. Well..."This Fashion" dont have the clothes i wear..lolz!
Brought them to Bugis Village and Guan Yin Miao too. Basically we parted at Bugis village and i gave them gifts lah. I was rather shocked to see what they had got for me...a korean lang beginner's book. Wah! Must have cost alot! Jia lat, my gifts are really cheap lor..hahaha!
As for me, I spoke english for nearly the whole day. Wow! i think my english conversation had became rusty, what a good chance for me to practice english huh?! Hahaha! Hopefully they understood most of our conversation. Lolz...Being a tourguide is really a tough job. Salute to all tourguides! A nice experience for me...and I hoped that they would have nice memories of Singapore when they return home!
