Shopping

--Tampines 1--
Went to take a look at the new mall this afternoon with E.W & Aunt Jo. Saw a new french boutique called "Cache Cache", and some of their shirts were cute. However, the material was not thick enough and it didn't look good on me. Sianz~
Saw another japanese restaurant called "Manpuku", which was kinda like "Shokudo". Lots of ppl queuing there for lunch la. The third floor was flooded with sports brand, never saw a mall with so many sport brands together sia. Checked out Uniqlo too. Though it's a weekday, there's still quite alot of people there. The clothes were okay for ppl who wears basics, but for me, only the polo shirts & denim jeans were interesting. Both E.W & me bought polo shirts! Hahaha! They had special clothings like the "bra top"? But E.W said it was quite uncomfortable for her. Well, I'm still looking forward to their ION store later this yr.
Saw this "Yummi House" selling wild honey. Their salesmen's service was bad, but nonetheless E.W bought one bottle to try. Hahaha!
Overall, the mall seemed to be a better place for shopping as compared to TM & CS, but the choices for restaurants & fast food outlets were little, and I cld understand why. Tamp 1 was too near to TM la...haha! Anyway, there were some new shops I think, besides the usual big brands, and the mall design was great.

TV Drama Review #187 - The Gentle Crackdown 2 秀才爱上兵

No.of Epis: 20
Year/TV Station: 2008/TVB
Cast:
Steven Ma ~ Xie Huang Shang
Yumiko Cheng ~ Chen Xi Mei
Wayne Lai ~ Dai Chong Wen/Dai Chong Wu
Johnson Lee ~ Zhu Qing Ting
Elaine Yiu ~ Tang Shui
Synopsis: (edited from Wikipedia)
Having lost her father at an early age, farm security guard Chen Xi Mei grew to be an outspoken and determined woman who would do her utmost to protect her home village. It is her sincerity that has won her respect from all villagers of theLiang Cai County. Sometimes she would get too enthusiastic and impulsive that she could bring about a lot of misunderstandings. Amusingly, she has mistaken the newly appointed agricultural magistrate Xie Huang Shang for a thief and the two of them have been bitter enemies ever since.
For the benefit of his son's future, Shang's father Xie Cang Tian has not only invited the intelligent Dai Chong Wen to be Shang's assistant, but also found him five special bodyguards- the head constable Mai Shuai, Zhou (Congee), Fen (Rice Noodle), Mian (Wheat Noodle), and Fan (Rice). Despite the best arrangements, Shang, Mei, Ting, and Cang Tian were framed respectively by the corrupted officials. In an attempt to save Mei, Shang has no choice but to marry Mei, though he does not love her. And later on, Chong Wen's brother, Dai Chong Wu, a high-ranked official came to Liang Cai County for a case and Chong Wen mysteriously disappeared...
Slacker's review:
"TGC 2" was an indirect sequel of "TGC". The main cast was brand new, except for Wayne Lai & the five actors who acted as the constables. The plot was a new one, but the comedy factor was still there. As usual, the first few epis didn't impress me much. Slowly, the developments of the storyline built up and I finally could enjoy this drama.
It's nice to see Steven Ma again, though I thought his comedic expressions were not as good as Moses Chan in"TGC". Steven's character Shang was more of a serious character, though he could be funny as well. I liked his interactions with veterans such as Xia Yu, who acted as Shang's dad; Wayne Lai & of coz, the five super lame constables. Chemistry with Yumiko was not bad too, and luckily the drama gave more focus on their romance, so it didn't seem to be too superficial on surface.
Wayne Lai definitely stole the limelight. Dai Chong Wen was a character full of developments. For the start, he chose not to speak, later he finally realised why his wife left him and he began to talk, and later, the twist was he acted as his brother. It was a challenging role for Wayne and he won the "best supporting actor" in the TVB Anniversay Awards last yr. I really liked how Wen transformed into Wu, the two characters were very different, and Wayne's acting skills were good.
Yumiko Cheng was a first-timer in acting, but I thought her performance was not bad. The only problem I had with her role Xi Mei was her hair. It was too "stylish" for an ancient character. The costumes she wore were also not from that era, but luckily she changed to the "standard ones" after Mei got married. Haha!
The supporting cast was great as usual, providing lots of comedic relief. There's romance plot given to Johnson's character Qing Ting, and I thought that was great, as the storyline wouldn't be that boring, but Ting-Shui's story did dragged a little as Ting was linked to the death of Shui's father.
Theme song "Wolf and Sheep" by Steven Ma and Yumiko Cheng.

Gotta spend big bucks again

--Afternoon--
Made a trip to Samsung's Customer Svc Centre at Jurong East after class. My Mp3 was pronounced "dead". (Though I'm still not sure if the main board was really spoilt. Haha!) Anyway, went back to Hg Mall & checked out the price for P3. Oh my! It's still so ex! That means I gotta wait for the coming IT fair le. (And that means I couldn't bring my new player overseas. Sobzzz~)
In the mean time, gotta use Tuan's old player la. Better than nothing right? Luckily I got a sister ah, Hp & mp3 spoilt le still got her old stuffs to "backup". Hahaha!
Haiz....feeling very sianz now.

Suay Ching Ver 3.0

--Things getting spoilt!--
Just weeks ago, Ah Ching's hp went "crazy", so gotta use Tuan's old hp. And just now, Ah Ching only wanted to charge her mp3, but realised that her mp3 was not charged, and it would not switch on. Die la...how can Ah Ching live without her mp3???

I seriously don't know what went wrong with my mp3. E.W said the batt might be spoilt, which is a bad news! So how? Gotta buy new one ah? Arrgghhh!

Still waiting for miracle to happen.

10.55p.m: Finally I can switch on my mp3!

12.39a.m: I realised that my mp3 can only switch on when it's connected to the usb charger. Oh my~ It can't switch on by itself! Haiz...

Post-exam activities

Exams haven't start, but Ah Ching has already thought of what to do for my post-exam activities in June. Of course, finding a job is my number 1 mission. However, Ah Ching is anticipating some outdoor trips. Hehe! May be I should try going on a solo trip?
Anyway, I have decided to visit the Southern Ridges again! Besides the usual destinations, I would cover Telok Blangah Hill Park & Hort Park as well. Also, this would be a good chance for me to take macro shots! Hehe!
Second, I'm going to Marina Barrage. (I know I'm slow...so many ppl had already went~haha!)
Well well, if anybody is interested, can let me know wor.

TV Drama Review #186 - Boys Over Flowers 花样男子

No.of Epis: 25
Year/TV Station: 2009/KBS
Cast:
Koo Hye Sun ~ Geum Jan Di
Lee Min Ho ~ Goo Joon Pyo
Kim Hyun Joong ~ Yoon Ji Hoo
Kim Bum ~ So Yi Jung
Kim Joon ~ Song Woo Bin
Kim So Eun ~ Chu Ga Eul
Lee Min Jung ~ Ha Jae Kyung
Kim Hyun Joo ~ Goo Joon Hee
Han Chae Young ~ Min Seo Hyun
Synopsis: (edited from Dramawiki)
Jan Di is an average girl whose family owns a dry cleaning store located near the luxurious and well known Shin Hwa College. Jan Di meets the four richest and most spoilt boys known as the F4. After saving a boy from jumping off the balcony in Shinhwa High School, she is admitted into the school on a swimming scholarship. Jan Di tries to avoid confrontation with F4 at all cost because she knows what happens to those that stand against them. However, when Jan Di's friend, Oh Min Ji, accidentally dirtied the leader of the F4's shoes, she's forced to declare war on the leader of the F4, Goo Joon Pyo.
Slacker's review:
The Korean F4s are creating a storm asiawide. (It's coming to Channel U soon.) Anyway, this would be my last F4 drama after watching the Taiwanese and Japanese versions. The storyline was slightly different as compared to Tw & Jpn versions, but the ending was still the same. So don't worry if you're sick of the story, there would be "new incidents" that happened to or b/w the characters. Basically, I welcomed the changes, but the screenwriter seemed to focus more on Ji Hoo on the later part, with him showing his feelings to Jan Di, while Joon Pyo seemed to be secondary. I personally felt that the screenwriter shld remain focus on Jan Di & Joon Pyo instead. Ji Hoo should be reserved with his feelings and continued to support his buddy, instead of confessing to Jan Di, and indirectly competing with Joon Pyo when the couple couldn't get together. The plot was moving quite fast in the first few epis, and because of that, there's a lack of chemistry b/w the F4s. The bond b/w the 4 of them was highly lacking. Luckily, things picked up as the drama moved on. Yi Jung & Ga Eul's romance plot was also quite different from other versions. The couple were given more focus too, and I liked how their stories developed. There was more details of Ji Hoo & Yi Jung's family background, which I think the other versions didn't include. Overall, the plot was rather balanced in various aspects.
Koo Hye Sun was the most experienced actress among the main cast, and she's older than the 4 guys. I have no problem with her acting, though she had to act exaggerated with her expressions. KHS's version of "Makino" was the only one without long hair, but I liked to see her in short hair as KHS looked younger with it. Her chemistry with the cast was great, though initially, I thought it was too fast for Joon Pyo to be interested in Jan Di, as the plot progressed too fast. (Their chemistry have not built up...)
Lee Min Ho was surprisingly good for his role. His acting was natural and convincing. He did a nice job when doing emotional scenes, and his expressions were vivid. He is probably my favourite guy for the role "Domyoji". Joon Pyo's hairstyle was curly most of the time, and I still wondered why Jerry Yan's version couldn't do the same? Haha! LMH with KHS was great, though their sweet love scenes seemed abit lacking? (Can't get enough la~) I liked to see Joon Pyo bickering with Jae Kyung too...what a surprised.
Kim Hyun Joong seemed to be the weakest link among F4. His acting was very raw, but he had improved alot as the drama progressed. KHJ was quite perfect as Ji Hoo la, got those emo look on his face. I didn't expect much of him since he's a singer, but anyway, I liked Ji Hoo after KHJ's acting was on the track. Hehe! Though I didn't like how Ji Hoo progressed on the later part of the drama, I thought he's was a great support for Jan Di. KHJ's chemistry with KHS was equally good too.
Kim Bum was the most well-known actor among the four, but sadly he wasn't cast as the main characters here. Kim Bum looked very boyish as compared to the rest, but I think he managed to pull it off. His performance was not bad, though I thought he didn't handle some emotional scenes well enough. Chemistry with Kim So Eun was great, and this couple was as interesting as Di-Pyo. There's more focus on Yi Jung's family background, and his first love. I thought it's a nice development for the character la.
I didn't know who Kim Joon was before the drama, so he's another singer from another kpop group. Woo Bin was probably "left out" in the sense that all the versions didn't focus on him. His scenes were very few compared to the other F3s. Anyway, his performance was alright for a newbie.
Kim So Eun and Lee Min Jung were the next-most-impt female cast after KHS. I thought their acting was great too. KSE was a very sweet-looking girl, and I liked her scenes with Kim Bum. LMJ's Jae Kyung was irritating at first, but she's really a nice girl deep down la. Couldn't hate her afterall. Lolz!
Nice to see the inclusion of A-listers, such as Kim Hyun Joo & Han Chae Young, though their characters were not that important.
And thumbs up to the support cast. Joon Pyo's mum was really evil. As for Jan Di's family, they were alright, but definitely not as funny as the tw version.
BOF got two & a half OSTs, and many songs were from Kpop groups. Theme song was "Paradise" by T-Max (which Kim Joon belongs to), and there were many nice insert songs, such as "Because I'm Stupid" & "Making A Lover" by SS501 (which Kim Hyun Joong belongs to); "Stand By Me" by SHINee; "Say Yes"& "Fight the Bad Feeling" by T-Max; "Yearning Heart" by A'ST1; "Love is Fire" by Kara etc.
Well, I didn't do much comparisons with other versions this time round, but personally I enjoyed the Korean version more than the Japanese one. Though the Taiwan version had problems with acting and stuffs, the drama was still an enjoyable one, as I preferred the development of the tw plot, and the OST was a classic too.

Interview Part 2

So, Ah Ching went for her interview earlier on.
Made a big round before I found the office, and I realised the job was not directly under the co.
Ah Ching filled up two forms, and waited for the manager to come.
In the mean time, read up about the company and the founder, who became a millionaire when she's 26.
Well well, kinda confused with what the firm does...coz' the firm provides training too.
In the end, it's a financial consultant agency which also provides training . Hahaha!
The manager was friendly, and I didn't get any tough questions.
But then, I knew that this job was not for me.
Ah Ching is not those very 拼-typed of people la. (Hey I'm slacker leh~)
Anyway, it's a nice experience as for the interview part.
Finally, kena blisters from wearing the heels....pain ah~~~tsk tsk.

TV Drama Review #185 - Kurobe no Taiyo 黑部的太阳

No.of Epis: 2
Year/TV Station: 2009/FujiTV
Cast:
Katori Shingo ~ Kuramatsu Hitoshi
Kobayashi Kaoru ~ Takiyama Kunpei
Yusuke Santamaria ~ Kizuka Kazutoshi
Ayase Haruka ~ Takiyama Sachie
Fukada Kyoko ~ Kawaguchi Ayako
Synopsis:(edited from Dramawiki)
Kuramatsu Hitoshi, the supervisor of Kumagai Group’s Kuramatsu Team, and Takiyama Kunpei, the assistant manager of Kansai Electric’s Kuroyon Building Office, were the two greatest contributors to the completion of Omachi tunnel, the most challenging undertaking in the journey to finish the Kurobe Dam.
Slacker's review:
"Kurobe no Taiyo" is a 2 epi drama special. Basically the plot focused on the Kurobe Dam project and didn't focus much on characters' development. The drama could be rather boring to most people as the storyline itself was kinda technical & dry. However, u get to see the difficulties they faced and how people sacrificed themselves for this huge project.
Another side plot was about Takiyama family. The youngest daughter Mitsuko suffered from leukemia and couldn't survived for long. It's a struggle b/w Takiyama Kunpei and his family. And because of Mitsuko, Sachie decided to marry Kizuka, though she obviously liked Kuramatsu!
Nice performances from the cast. It's great to see Katori again, he looked very different this time round. It's a pity that Kuramatsu didn't end up with Sachie. If he had tell her his true feelings, the girl wld be his la. (Sbbzzz...) Though Ayase was the female lead, I thought Fukada's character was more interesting. Ayako's lover was killed while working at the dam, and she had a sad past. Luckily, Kuramatsu was there to support her.
Though I didn't like the boring parts of this drama special, I enjoyed the scenes b/w the main characters.

Shinjuku Incident 新宿事件

--Macro Shots--
Took some macro shots while waiting for my parents to leave the house. U must be thinking Ah Ching must be bo liao right? Hahaha! Anyway, I am not good at taking macro shots la, plus i'm just using my Fuji F100d...so the effect was not too good. Nevertheless, I liked the pics I took today...hehe!
Little red flower~
White Orchirds~
Spiky catus.
--Bugis--
Had our lunch at Bugis's Food Juction. U must be wondering why we chose to go Bugis to catch a movie since the location wasn't that convenient. It's because I didn't want to step into Lido Hall 7 again. Yeah...the "3rd world cinema". Hahaha!
Yes! It's seafood spaghetti again! I loved the spicy tomato sauce. But I think the pasta stall @ Hougang Plaza is still better la.
--Shinjuku Incident--
Well, this was probably my first time watching movie at Bugis? Shaw seriously needs to upgrade its cinemas la. Looked kinda rundown leh! So, I guessed I shouldn't miss this movie since it's something new from Jackie Chan right? Hahaha! I was quite impressed with it actually! The movie was not the typical heroic movie where we saw Jackie doing justice with his kungfu etc. "Shinjuku Incident" gave us an insight of how the lives were for Chinese illegal immigrants in the 90s. Of course, it showed us another truth about Chinese...we are not a united race. Personally, I agree with that view, but that doesn't mean that ONLY Chinese are like that. U get to see the yakuzas who killed each other to fight for territories or for their own interest. So, everybody did that to survive in that environment.
There were many languages used in the movie, I thought it was quite interesting. You get to listen to mandarin, japanese, cantonese & hokkien on and off. The Japanese actors tried to speak mandarin, and I thought Takenaka did a good job. The Chinese actresses also spoke japanese in the movie too, and Fan Bing Bing's japanese was more fluent than Xu Jing Lei.
Jackie Chan is not an actor who's well-known for his emotional acting etc. I thought his performance was not bad, and there were scenes where he cried as the situation lost control. He didn't use his famous kungfu this time round. Instead, he just tried to act like those who didn't know any martial arts.
As for Daniel Wu, his character Ah Jie was cool, but I gotta adjust myself listening to his ABC accented mandarin. Didn't seem to be convincing as someone who's from China. Hahaha! Ah Jie suddenly changed to a "bad guy" after he was disfigured and lost his hand. It might seemed to be too sudden, but I thought his change was just to disguise his cowardice.
The support cast was made up of many familiar faces, such as Chin Kar Lok who acted as the "Hong Kong Zai", Takenaka Naoto (who's a regular in doramas) who acted as the policeman, Kato Masaya who acted as Eguchi, Gao Jie who acted as the head of Tainan Gang, and a bunch of HK actors who appeared frequently in HK triad movies in the 90s.
I think I don't have to tell u the ending. Do give it a try if u have time.
--Coffee Club @ Central--
Oh! Time to eat again! Hahaha! Well, have to use the voucher since Mr Chean was free mah.
View of Singapore River.
View of Singapore River 2, the boats cruising along the river were new ones ne~
Soup of the day-potato soup with leak.
My Salmon Coulibiac. Delicious~
Aunt Jo's Fish & Chips!
My Mocha Tropicana. First time drinking mocha with fruity taste.
Aunt Jo's Ice Rambutan. The cookie came with Mr Chean's coffee.
E.W's Ice Berry Tea.
Mr Chean's Club Julius! Wow!
Watching people playing the "G-Max Reverse Bungy". It seemed kinda scary as the seat kept rotating 360 degrees...haha! But well, I think it's not as scary as Bungee Jump la.
--Novels--
Yeah! Finally bought the novels!!! It's always a happy thing to buy books I like, since I don't buy them often. Thanks to the Kino vouchers....hehe! Bought the original version of "Benjamin Button" plus other stories, and I actually wanna get another novel called "The Book With No Name". But well, "The Last Concubine" got an interesting storyline too...u know Ah Ching likes to read novels with ancient Japanese eras as background. Hehe!

阿桑走了

一直都很喜欢《叶子》这首歌曲。
只可惜,以后再也听不到阿桑的歌声了。

TV Drama Review #184 - Love Shuffle 旋爱/爱情洗牌

No.of Epis: 10
Year/TV Station: 2009/TBS
Cast:
Tamaki Hiroshi ~ Usami Kei
Karina ~ Aizawa Airu
Matsuda Shota ~ Sera Ojiro
Tanihara Shosuke ~ Kikuta Masato
Kanjiya Shihori ~ Kagawa Mei
DAIGO ~ Oishi Yukichi
Yoshitaka Yuriko ~ Hayakawa Kairi
Kojima Hijiri ~ Kamijyo Reiko
Synopsis: (from Dramawiki)
Usami Kei is a salaryman who has risen in status due to his engagement with Mei, the wealthy daughter of his company's president. Shortly after she breaks off the engagement, a power failure leaves him stuck in the elevator of his apartment building. Trapped with him are three others living on the same floor - Airu, a trilingual interpreter, Ojiro, a model photographer, and Masato, a psychiatrist. While waiting, their conversation hits upon their love lives and the question of whether there is truly only one fated partner for everyone. As a result, they decide to try "shuffling" their relationships with each other.
Slacker's review:
One big to draw as to why i watched "Love Shuffle" was the screenwriter, Nojima Shinji. Well, Nojima didn't disappoint me, but this drama would not be everyone's cup of tea. The plot featured modern city dwellers and showed their perceptions of romance through shuffling their partners. The concept was new and interesting, but somehow the drama didn't appeal to me on the pilot episode. I guessed the reason was because "Love Shuffle" got a character-driven plot. Every character had in-depth developments, showing how they appeared to be on surface, and how they struggled with their own emotions & thoughts. So that's why the storyline did seemed to be kinda boring or weak to me. But as the drama continued, I got to understand the characters more as they revealed their motives for participating in the "shuffle". I liked the interactions between the characters, and how they went along with their individual dates. You could somehow guessed who would end up with who towards the end of the drama, and I was quite please with the ending. Butta, watching Usami becoming a politician was kinda far-fetched to me...hahaha!
Tamaki is always trying something new with his choice of characters. Usami was a typical salaryman and he's the only fella who's against the shuffling. (but his gf Mei wanted to participate...) Tamaki's performance was alright, nothing new from him actually. His expressions were quite funny, though exaggerating at the same time. I didn't like Usami with Mei , but he definitely looked good with Ai Ai (Airu).
This is probably my first time watching Karina in a drama, and I thought her performance was not bad! Her chemistry with Tamaki was really good, and I like her character Airu as well. Airu was a straightforward person compared to Mei & she got a fun-loving personality. Oh! I like Airu's little red car too...so cute!
Matsuda was definitely "very hot" in the drama. Honestly, I thought his character really stole the limelight (I supposed Tamaki's the main lead). I liked his hairstyle & image la, he looked very handsome while being a photographer and taking pics of his dates. Sera seemed to be those guys who were "very easy" with relationships, but as he met his "opponent" Kairi, we finally got to see the real Sera, who's trying to hide his real feelings from others etc. I liked him pairing up with Yoshitaka, though the latter really seemed kinda odd most of the time. Lolz!
Tanihara was probably the most senior actor here, kudos to his performance as Kikuta! Kikuta was so nice to everybody, but nobody really knew his intentions. He's "instructing" Kairi on what she shld do before commiting suicuide on her 20th birthday...and his main reason for joining the shuffle was because one of them looked like his ex. (that's quite a surprising twist...)
Luckily, Kikuta was not a evil guy like what i nearly thought. There's only four words to describe his actions...and the words are "yong xin liang ku". Haha! One more thing, Tanihara's eyes could be quite "seducing" when he looked at others...hoho!
Kanjiya's Mei and Daigo's Oishi were pretty alright to me la. They finally got married in the end, but I didn't like this couple throughout the drama. May be their characters were just not interesting to me.
Yoshitaka's Kairi was an interesting gal. I thought her acting was good. She always seemed to be very quiet, talented in arts, and suicidal. Kairi got that spooky aura around her. Though Kairi was expressionless most of the time, I really liked the moments when she smiled, like her scenes with Sera, and when Usami got her a panda soft toy etc. (She's lovely when she smiled..)
Kojima's Reiko was a "revolutionary" character. She's a married woman, and her motive to participate in the shuffling was to find a guy to make her pregnant. Imagined her husband actually knew what she's doing and supported her doings. Wow....really modern ah. Well, the drama did tell us who's the real father to her kid in the end. I thought Kojima's performance was not bad, as Reiko was really seductive with her expressions and her behaviour.
Earth, Wind & Fire's "Fantasy" was the theme song for the drama, while The Bangles's "Eternal Flame" was the insert song. It's always nice to see Japanese dramas using english oldies as theme songs.

Detroit Metal City

Well, my beloved L had became "Krauser-san" in DMC. Matsuyama was damn good in the characters he portrayed. Actually I really couldn't stand Negishi's haircut, but Matsuyama was so cute when he sing & shake while singing. He's also funny with the way he runs too. Negishi was such a shy & funny boy but as he became Krauser, he really changed to a more confident and vulgar person. I had a good laugh when Krauser was telling Toshi-kun how to make use of the farming techniques, asked him to study and later convinced Toshi-kun that Negishi's haircut was cool....hahaha!
I didn't like to hear so many F word in one go. Matsuyuki's landlord lady was damn vulgar la!!! Imagine I just watched her sad character in "Yougisha X no Kenshin"...and here's a 110% change! Matsuyuki was just terrific! And there's a song when Krauser was pk-ing Jack....the only word in that song was that F word. Wah piangz....hahaha!
Actually, I think the movie was about "dreams". Sometimes we could not achieve our dreams in the way we wanted, but somehow we managed to do that in another way, and who knows you may become the reason for others to dream or live about.
Even though the plot was average, the cast did a great job, though Kato Rosa was more of a flower vase here. Matsuyama can really sing, and I liked his "Amai Koibito".....hehe!
Overall, it's a relaxing movie with lots of vulgarity...and you get to see the visual kei culture in Japan.

CC Gang Gathering: Ah Ching's Belated Birthday Celebration

--Asian Kitchen @ Vivocity--
Nice to see the gals again. PY was not present, but we got KH! Hehe. Nice catching up with the gals & check out our lunch!
Fried tofu~
CH,GC & HM's pork chop noodle. (Hope i got the name right...)
SC's wanton noodle.
Delicious dumplings!
KH & my soft shell crab noodles! The crabs were yummy~
How can we missed the xiao long baos? There's supposed to be 6, but HM ate one of them! Lolz!
--Sentosa--
Wow, it has been a few yrs since I last visited the island. This was my first time going to Sentosa with the gals. Haha! Wanna say a big thanks to CH who got us the corporate islander card for discounts. Well, this was my first time taking the train to the island. (I've taken the ferry, cable car & bus before la..) Basically, the train ride was not too bad, just like the LRT. Check out our trip!
Gateway to Sentosa~~The train station @ Vivo.
If I'm not wrong, that's St.James Power Station...
The port beside the island...
Welcome to Sentosa!
We alighted at Beach Station and headed to the Luge & Skyride first. This is the place for u to eat & shop. The island had changed alot ne~
The Luge!!! Thanks to the corp. islander card, "1 Luge + 1 skyride" only costed 7 bucks! Hehehe!
This is the skyride. It's nothing new to me since I had taken it before in overseas...but nevertheless, the ride was still quite fun...and we got to enjoy the sceneries of Siloso beach etc.
The Rasa Sentosa Resort from afar...
The artificial islands at Siloso Beach.
It's interesting to see how the luges were transported up...cool!
Our second destination was CineBlast at Imbiah Lookout. The "Extreme Log Ride" was fun, but the duration was way too short. The time we spent queuing & waiting at the waiting room was much longer than the actual ride. It's also one of the most ex attractions of Sentosa, same price as 4D Magix.
This is the hall for "Desperados", a shooting game with laser gun.
We took the bus back to Siloso Beach...The weather was really hot, and lots of ppl were there playing beach vollyball. Basically, the beach was packed with ppl. Well, HM wanna check out the Flying Trapeze, but it didn't seem to be fun. So, we took the tram back to Beach Station...
Here's the tram...
The gals couldn't decide which attraction to go next. Three of them were tired already, while GC was excited to try the GoGreen Segway. Here's Jackie Chan, who launched the new attraction on the island.
Practising session. We didn't go for the segway in the end, coz' GC, KH & me thought the Luge was more worth the money. Hahaha! So, the three of us headed back to the Luge for our 2nd ride, while the rest waited for us...hoho!
While waiting for train at the station, saw the water display at "Song of the Sea".
We returned to Vivo la...everybody's kinda tired, and sweating like hell. Hahaha! Yeah, the weather was really hot today, though it was cloudy by 4pm plus. I had enjoyed myself today, and we're looking foward to Universal Studios in the future...hoho!
