--North Eastern Riverine Loop--
My 3rd cycling trip this month, and Tuan joined us with her new bike.
The skies were so lovely just now, and I regretted not bringing my camera out.
Snapped the pics with my lousy hp cam, but surprisingly the pictures were not that bad.
Sungei Serangoon, and the clouds.
I loved the clouds today~!!!
Sunset is setting down, but its the clouds that stole the limelight.
Clouds @ Punggol Point.
Saw coloured clouds!!! My hp cam is not good enough to capture the colours :(
The clouds looked like they got cut into half.
Sunset at Punggol Point!

Goodbye March
Some updates.
I breezed through this year's internal audit with only 1 minor finding.
Quite happy about it, but at the same time, I know it's because their depth of audit is not deep.
Anyway, one thing less from my shoulders now.
April is around the corner, and it's time to lookout for jobs.
Haiz....June quickly come :)

Life has not changed much, days still move on.
Last year I had to do midnight testing, this year I have to "entertain" the auditors.
Why must it be a leap year?! I don't want my favourite day to be on a Tuesdays! Hahaha! (Tues is the most busiest day of the week)
Nvm! I will do a good job tmr!
And have a good meal!
Happy Birthday to myself!

TV Drama Review #336 - The Life and Times of a Sentinel 紫禁惊雷
No.of Eps: 26
Yr/TV Stn: 2011/TVB
Cast:
Steven Ma ~ Nie Duo Bao
Kenneth Ma ~ Fu Quan/Prince Yu
Power Chan ~ Xuan Ye/Emperor Kang Xi
Selena Li ~ Zhuo Zi Ying/Princess Duan Min
Natalie Tong ~ Princess Gui Lun
Elaine Yiu ~ Man Jun/Princess Consort
Synopsis: (edited from TVB Review blog)
Nie Duo Bao is a martial art expert who signs up to be an imperial bodyguard in the Palace. Duo Bao is a righteous man and is always fighting for the rights of his people. He eventually befriends Prince Yu, who is the brother of the Emperor. Under the recomendation of Prince Yu, who is also Duo Bao's superior, Duo Bao becomes the personal bodyguard of Emperor Kang Xi. Duo Bao never imagined that the Palace would be full of backstabbings and plots. He also does not know that Fu Quan is plotting an earth shattering scheme against the Emperor. As Duo Bao spends more time with the Emperor, his loyalty is tested - should he remain loyal to his friend and benefactor, Fu Quan, or Emperor Kang Xi, who has a generous heart and loves his country deeply. In the midst of all the chaos, Duo Bao falls for Zhuo Zi Ying, the daughter of a herb merchant. However, Zi Ying ends up being entwined in the web of power struggle among the imperial concubines. As Duo Bao finds himself surrounded by friends and foes, who are constantly plotting and scheming, he has no choice but to trust no one and trust only in himself.
Why watch?
This is one rare TVB drama with a plot full of unexpected twists. Just as you thought Duo Bao's real identity is revealed, there comes another twist to throw all our beliefs away! Ho! I wld not say the plot is fantastic as there are loopholes, but the drama is packed with punch and development.
The 2 Mas are great. Steven was great in his role, but it was Kenneth who stole the show. I hardly get to see Kenneth acting as a pure baddie, but he's awesome in his role as Fu Quan. Fu Quan's aggressiveness, cunningness, and his love for Man Jun were acted out with accurate expressions.
The ladies were not bad, though their roles were pretty minor. Selena is the usual nice girl, but I think Zi Ying shld have a better ending. No point killing her in the last 10 mins! Nat Tong's role is another sad character. Her ending was sad too....to stay in a faraway place with a husband who thought she's someone else. Heartbreaking, isn't it?
Elaine Yiu's performance was great as well, too bad Man Jun was paralysed later on, so Elaine's expressions were pretty stagnant.
Why skip?
No reason to skip. They might have mis-cast Power to be Kang Xi, but this is not bad enough for one to skip the drama.

Birthday Celebration
Went to work for BCP test before joining my family for my advanced birthday lunch with family at TCC. (Sorry no pics~)
It has been quite awhile since the whole family hit town together.
Went window shopping, but did not buy anything.
I am grateful to pass 1/4 of my life peacefully.
Hopefully it's a good year ahead.

Dept Gathering
--Harry's @ Boat Quay--
I was "forced" to be one of those who have to treat the rest for getting full bonus. (What the heck?!) Had my dinner at Harry's bar. Everyone was drinking alcoholic drinks except my 2 colleagues and me, who drank iced coffee, which was surprisingly nice.
Their seafood pasta was not bad, but their finger food were average.
I think I still prefer to dine at restaurants instead of pubs. Haha!

Updates
Some updates of my life this week.
Tuan is coming home later. Shld be able to see her before I go to work. Ha!
Next, I've finally settled the Shanghai & Nanjing hotels, thanks to E.W's assistance. Now I gotta work out on the cost of my trip.
Last but not least, shall enjoy my last few days of being a 25er. Haiz....time flies again~

CC Gang Gathering: My advanced birthday celebration
--Labrador Nature & Coastal Walk--
The weather was very sunny in the morning. Our first activity of the day was to guess who will reach Labrador first. Lolz! In the end, HM & SC were the 1st to arrive, and CH the last. Haha!
We started our hike from Berlayer Creek.
Spotted a turtle.
and there were 2 of them!
KH spotted this green snake.
We continued to Bukit Chermin Boardwalk. The weather was really hot!
Labrador Park.
The mangroves.
Old English house beside the beach.
En route to Vivocity, we walked passed Reflections at Keppel Bay, a new condo.
The yachts at Marina @ Keppel Bay.
Walking along the promenade...
Caribbean at Keppel Bay. Nice environment.
Keppel Bay Bridge.
Keppel Bay drive.
The cruise liners from afar.
--Xi Men Ding @ Vivo--
Our first visit to this Taiwanese restaurant. The price is considered expensive for local TW delights.
盐酥鸡. It's delicious but abit too salty.
My 卤肉饭. Not as nice as the one I ate in TW.
Fried tofu is not bad.
KH's Brazilian Mushroom soup.
GC's 扣肉面. The meat looked so delicious...but fattening.
CH & PY's 肉搓面.
糖醋皮蛋. Not very delicious.
Thanks the girls for the treat. Looking forward to the next gathering!

North Eastern Riverine Loop Trip 2 Report
The weather was great at 4-5pm plus. However, dark clouds took over the sky and we kept hearing the thunders roared. E.W and I decided to complete our mission and cycled to Punggol Point!
In the end, we gotta cycle in the rain, but luckily the rain was not too heavy.
The red bridge to Lorong Halus Wetland Park. Taken from Sunrise bridge.
Punggol Waterway.
My bike with new wheels!
The serene river, en route to Punggol Point.
Punggol Dam.
Punggol Promenade Nature Walk offers nice sceneries of Coney Island.
Pulau Serangoon, a.k.a Coney Island.
This is the "challenging" terrain mentioned in Nparks map. It's not difficult to cycle, but it dirtied my bike wheels. Lolz!!
New flats built at Punggol, with dark clouds.
What's the speed of the winds?
I did not managed to snap pics of Punggol beach as the rain started to drop, and the place was crowded. We cycled back to Punggol Waterway.
Jewel bridge.
Saw water fountains as we cycled towards Heartwave Wall.
Punggol Waterway Park.
Another shot.
The quiet canal.
Wave bridge.
It's nice to stay beside the waterway.
Sunrise bridge in the evening. Loved the reflections!
The stairways at Sunrise bridge.
The cloudy skies made the water reflections looked like some water painting.
The red bridge in the evening.
Another shot with water reflections.
Nice evening scenery along Sungei Serangoon PC.
The lightings changed to purple.
I am quite pleased with my bike. It's much better than the one I rented previously. Hehe! E.W had a tough time controlling her bike, and the wheels are too small. She could not cycle up slope. Ha! Now she wants to buy a motor so that she does not need to cycle! Lolz!
