Today is surprisingly...a peaceful day.
I was clearing my emails for the whole day, from 800 odd to 300 odd.
Office was rather quiet as well...
Hardly any calls or funny cases too...
Wow....can my everyday be like today??

Back Home
Reached SG at 4am, thanks to the rotten egg MU for delaying my flight for nearly 2 hours.
I'll curse them again when I blog abt my trip later!
Have lots of things to do and catch up, and there are some good news to share as well.
First, Mr Chean bought a new desktop for me....and I won't pay for it! Hahaha!
Tuan is coming back in 2 weeks time...time for good food again :p
But but, I'm not looking forward to Monday....
Still not back in working mode :(

TV Drama Review #295 - Temptation of An Angel 天使的诱惑
No. of Eps: 21Yr/TV Stn: 2009/SBS
Cast:
Han Sang Jin ~ Shin Hyun Woo (before)
Bae Soo Bin ~ Shin Hyun Woo (after) / Ahn Jae Sung
Lee So Yeon ~ Joo Ah Ran
Kim Tae Hyun ~ Nam Joo Seung
Hong Soo Hyun ~ Yoon Jae Hee
Synopsis:
After the death of her parents, Joo Ah Ran plots to ruin the family that destroyed hers. She seduces and marries the son of her enemy, Shin Hyun Woo, who discovers her plan belatedly. With a new face, courtesy of plastic surgery after meeting with a car accident, he decides to exact his own revenge upon her.
Slacker's review:
Ho! This drama is full of excitement, and lots of twists & turns throughout the show! (I joked that my heart got weaker after every episode). Actually the storyline is just about how a loving couple became each other's worst enemy & started with their revenge games. The interesting part is actually the bad blood between the two families was caused by someone else. Ha! You simply won't get bored with this drama, and this is truly amazing for a Kdrama, coz' most dramas wld be kind of draggy at some point in time. Of coz, the storyline is with flaws, but the flow and pace are good. Ending was a little dramatic, and a little unexpected. Perhaps, with some ppl gone, the others cld move on with their lives.
Bae Soo Bin's first lead drama. The guy looked so different from his role in "Brilliant Legacy", which was his previous work in 2009. BSB only appeared after Hyun Woo went for a plastic surgery, and he's really handsome sia! Haha! (Han Sang Jin got this nice uncle look, so BSB really made Hyun Woo looked like a more seductive character). I liked BSB's scenes with Lee So Yeon & Hong Soo Hyun respectively. With LSY, it's fun to see him acting as a devil in disguise. Quite exciting to see how Hyun Woo wld bring Ah Ran down to hell. With HSH, it's sweet but sad love. It's a pity that they did not end up together, but we know that's the best ending for them. BSB's acting was not the best though. I thought he was way better in "BL". I found that BSB's emotional scenes were kinda stiff, and sometimes overacted.
First time watching Lee So Yeon, and she's really really good!!! I read that she used to act in evil roles. Her acting and expressions were really awesome! I enjoyed LSY's scenes and Ah Ran is such a complicated person, and her character development was really good. On surface, she looked like a smart woman who made use of the men ard her, but in fact, she was being used indirectly. It's fun to see how the woman cld cheat everybody with her lies, and later on, her lies got unfolded one by one, and she got caught herself.
Kim Tae Hyun is rather new to me as well. Joo Seung is another dumb fella, as he's blinded by love and he still willingly sacrificed everything for the woman who hurt him time after time. He kept hating his mum for forsaking him, but actually he never meant that way. It's sad that he was not given the chance to tell his mum his true feelings. I really wondered if Ah Ran had loved him for once...or maybe she only loved Jae Sung all these while?
Hong Soo Hyun's Jae Hee is like an angel, but even angels also have their emotions and sometimes have bad thoughts. I am glad Jae Hee is not a naive girl, and she is quite smart, especially helping Hyun Woo to pass off as Jae Sung. Liked the bittersweet romance b/w Jae Hee & Jae Sung. Those are the times when we were not "bombed" by lies and endless arguments.
OST was alright, but instrumentals were boring. Kept hearing the same melody in every episode.

TV Drama Review #294 - Every Move You Make 读心神探
No. of Eps: 20Yr/TV Stn: 2010/TVB
Cast:
Bowie Lam ~ Yao Xue Chen
Kristal Tin ~ Ye Zhan Ting
Bosco Wong ~ Trevor He Li Xian
Lai Lok Yi ~ Mai Yong Xi
Aimee Chan ~ Chen Bei Er
Synopsis: (edited from Dramawiki)
Crime Unit Senior Inspector, Yao Xue Chen has learnt his mind reading skills overseas. He is efficient and, by far, the most competent cop in his unit. He is able to analyze and read people’s minds just by observing their body language, facial expressions and from the tone of voice. In addition, he is also highly skilled when spotting disparities in testimonies and evidence.
However, his teammates find him to be a real pain in the neck. Newcomers, ZhanTing and Trevor are especially annoyed by the unconventional way in which he does things. As a result, the pair often has confrontations and misunderstandings with the inspector. Things become worse when Chen learns that his half-sister, Bei Er is secretly going out with Trevor, and that Zhan Ting, who has recently been divorced, has a crush on him.
Slacker's review:
"EMYM" is a little different from the typical TVB drama. The guys used more brains to crack their cases. Lolz! Some may find the department quite unrealistic in reality, but understanding human behaviour and psychology do have their logic behind it. The concept is rather refreshing, though the storyline is still very standard in development. I liked the last case the most, as there are some twists to the development, and the case's "lead suspect" acted really well. Ending was crappy as usual...
Bowie Lam's acting is standard, and I have nothing else to comment. Chemistry with the cast is alright. Most of the time, Chen was concerned about Ting & her son, but I can't see that he really likes her as a woman. As for Ting, it's very obvious that she likes him...I thought the storyline did not developed this romance much.
Kristal's acting was great, and Ting was not quite a one-dimensional character. She's professional at work, but back at home, she faced the problem of a broken family and trying to fight for her son's custody.
Bosco and Aimee reunited for the 2nd time, and this time round, they are a funny couple. I like Aimee here. Her character was cheerful and funny. Trevor is the usual type of role Bosco acted, so nothing new from him.
As for Mr Lai, it's a pity that he has not join the B-listers yet. His character is quite entertaining as well as irritating. Ha!
Theme song is "Xin Zhong You Shu" by Bowie Lam.

Emo-ing (Ver2.0)
Leaving the country on Sunday, but I am not in holiday mood now.
Ever since I started working, I never felt excited for any of my vacations until the departure date itself.
And I realised that I wld be super busy on the week before my vacation. Suddenly, meetings and crappy stuffs just popped out during that 5 days! Ha!
Many things will happen during my 2 weeks absence, and honestly I am quite worried that my colleague can't handle them. It's not his fault as he's not supposed to cover me anyway. I am even prepared to take his calls when I'm overseas. Ha!
That's not the end...
I already told my colleagues I don't feel like returning home on the 18th, coz' I got midnight testing on the same day!!! How I wish miracles exist now. It's just terrible!
I already had midnight testing on my birthday, and now it's right after my trip!
How to feel excited huh? :(

Oh...I think my nightmare is going to be on the 25th. At least Buddha heard my pleas~ Lolz!
