CC Gang Gathering - Kbox

[KBOX]Met up with the gals and went for Klunch @ Marina Square. However, we were told that the Klunch package were fully booked for walk-in customers. Also dont know if they were telling the truth or not, so we went to sing KHappy, which costed us abt nearly 20 bucks per person. Lucky memebers got 10% discount huh? No diff man..sianz...
Anyway, wanna take pics of HM singing, but turned out that i kept snapping blur images of her. Lolz! hey gal no "good brothers" la. Hahaha! My skill not good ok? Paiseh ah!
Had lunch @ KFC and we walked about. Saw this "Saudi Aramco" exhibition at the atrim and i took loads of pics la. Enjoy lo~

The goodie bag includes a book about Saudi Arabia's culture, a cap, one cd rom introducing Saudi Arabia & another one is a music cd, featuring Arabian music. A collar pin of both SG & SA's national flags.

The Host + My Super Suay Day

[Suay Day] What a start of my day huh? I was in the MRT when my MP3 hung. What the heck? I couldnt switched it off and my battery was like still on la. Luckily i could reset the player later with a toothpick. Hohoho!
Next, just as i reached Somerset to meet Ade, my bamboo shoulder bag's handle loosened off. Arrgghhh! Ended up i gotta carry my bag the whole day. Haizz...E.W said she has a way to fix my bag...phew~~~
[Pasta Cafe] Brought Ade to my fav pasta restaurant. Didnt know they had this "new look". Very bright, white & black colour contrast interior design. Though i welcome the new change, i preferred the old ambience la. Hehehe! Most stuffs in their menu remained the same, that's good. Chatted alot with Ade while we had our food. I forgot that i gotta eat vegtarian today la, so could only ate tiramisu cake & drank the iced coffee. Hahaha! I am glad that Ade liked their food la. hahaha! And really wanna thank u for treating me la, though I dunno why u wanna treat me...in good mood ah? Lolz! [The Host] I have learnt to judge a movie myself now, though the movie reviews did helped me lah. Wont intro abt this movie, coz' i think it's famous enough. The movie was overall, a funny and rather exciting one. Though I did noticed some other indirect motives from the director, I felt that the movie could be more than what it was. Hahaha! Maybe not enough action between the monster and the lead actors? Hmm...basically it's worth my money lah, and i really enjoyed the show. It's a sad case that the little gal didnt survived...oops spoilers. Haha!
[Continuation of Suay Day] Went back home, then E.W realised that my old bike kenna stolen. Damn that person..must be selling it to get money for the metal. Haizz...
[Aftermath] Heard my neighbour talked to E.W just now. A neighbour living @ 11th floor died in his house for 2 days, without ppl knowing la. I guessed his neighbours called the police or what. Anyway it's kinda sad to know that la. Haizz...I think it's really not good to die alone without ppl knowing sia..might as well stay in old folks home sia? Haizz

Wang Jian - The Intimate Cello

[Yesterday] Went to Victoria Concert Hall to attend Wang Jian's concert, with local talent pianist Lim Yan. With who leh? Tuan lo...my best gal. Hahahaha! If you dont know who he is, he's a very famous cellist from Shanghai.
That day's event included 2 long pieces "Cello Sonata in A major, OP69" by Beethoven & "Sonata for cello & piano in A major" by Cesar Franck. Next, 5 shorter pieces, including "Three Romances", "Melodie", "Berceuse Op 16, Papillon Op 77", "Ave Maria" & "Zapateado". Honestly i only know "Ave Maria" lah, but i like the first & the last piece as well. "Zapateado" was practically played on the 5th position of the cello, not an easy task ne. You can see how well was his bow movements and finger skills.
The music pieces really bring Cello to life la, it can be powerful, light-hearted & yet sorrowful as well.
Wang Jian's and Lim Yan's performance were really faultless! I remembered the whole hall clapped non-stop after the last piece and they returned with 2 encore pieces. I knew the songs but dont know their titles...aiya!

TV Drama Review #33 - Chakushin Ari 鬼来电

Summary:Yumi, a writer of a science magazine witnessed a mysterious death of a high school girl who received a “one missed call” from her own cell phone, two weeks in the future.It was a phonecall which could forecast how the phone owner would die. Later, she was transfered to Tokumei Watch, a department for "no future" employees in the company. Together with senior policeman Sendou, they soon discovered the true secrets of this "one missed call" curse and what really happened to her twin sister Ami, who had disappeared 10 yrs ago.
Comments: Adopted from the movie version, the drama version was known to be much better than the original. The drama is revealing bits and bits of clues every episode, making you curious what would happened next, what really happened & how everything linked up. Though it could be quite confusing becoz it was like 2 seperate cases going on at the same time. What do i mean by it? The phonecall curse and the disappearance of Ami. Hahaha! That ringtone could really sounds eerie at times la, too bad cant get hold of it. Lolz! The plot was really not bad, way better than "The Ring"'s drama version. Only problem was i found the drama pace abit slow. Maybe some people may find the drama having too many twists & turns, but to me, that's the best part coz' it's out of my expectations.
Acting wise, it's quite alright for both Kikukawa & Ishiguro. The only "so so " acting was from the bunch of Mei Wa students...japanese teens can be really bitchy ne. Hahaha!
Finally, the ending episode would be quite a surprise to most of you. You wont be able to expect it.
Ratings: 8.5/10 (It's not scary enough...lol!)

TV Drama Review #32 - Wonderful Life 美妙人生

Summary: Seung Wan & Se Jin are both college students, had a "one-night" stand while on vacation in Singapore. Seung Wan was there to find his first love Chae Young, while Se Jin was there becoz' of her previous relationship. Se Jin was pregnant later and couldnt abort the child as she was a catholic. So later, with the help of her sisiter, she married Seung Wan. Shin Bi, their daugther grew up & became a lovely child. While Chae Young ditched Seung Wan & returned to snatch him away from Se Jin, Do Hyun was attracted to Se Jin, though he had some kind of relationship with Chae Young too. Later, Shin Bi was down with Leukemia...
Comments: I guessed this is the first Kr drama to film at SG. Hahaha! Though they went to the usual tourist attractions, I'm still happy to see my country in it la. Hehehe! Let me touch on the plot first. From "Full Hse" to "Sam Soon", this is the 3rd drama with a contract marriage/deal. Hahaha! Ok, not very sick about this idea, but then it showed that kr dramas lack creativity now. So Seung Wan & Se Jin finally fell in love for each other, here comes the tragedy..leukemia! Ha! Another super "Korean" plot..lol! This storyline is quite interesting la, showing how a couple who are unprepared to become parents, coped with a family & learn to become parents. I think Shin Bi really saved the drama from boredom coz' she's really so adorable! Lovely Shin Bi!
Kim Jae Won did a pretty comeback after "my love in beijing". His character is far from perfect. Seung Wan is like a kid, still immature & playful. Something new coz' kr dramas always like to show male leads being rich, smart, capable, handsome etc. At least Seung Wan is different la. Kim Jae Won portrayed this character well enough. His acting changed with the character, i really like this character getting more responsible for Se Jin & Shin Bi, you can feel he has grow up.
Eugene is not that "Eun Soo" i know in "STLDFM". I'm glad that she's more cheerful here. Her character's development is not tt much, compared to Jae Won's. But, her acting was convincing, and i really think she's improving everytime. Also, her character changed hairstyle to accompany her change from student to a mum. I like her with that short-hair. Looked smart. Lol!
I only know Lee Ji Hoon in the pop grp "S" with Kang Ta & Shin Hye Sung. His acting was pretty average for a newcomer. Do Hyun is not a baddie, but a gentleman. This character was alright, but nothing exciting abt him. I guessed he may have to prove his acting more in his future dramas, cant leave a gd impresson on me.
Han Eun Jung...always a yucky fella, in "full hse" or in "wonderful life". I really disliked her, and her character chae young as well. I really want to use that word starting with B. lolz! Her acting was the same..i nearly thought it's the same character from Full hse lo. Why she always kenna such a character-dun like that guy but still want to hold on to him, and then like the other one, who dont like her. Dumb! Hahaha! I really hope that she can impress me one fine day.
The best actress of the day is Jung Da Bin, who acted as Shin Bi. Really cuteee ah! I love her voice & her acting was simply wonderful. Especially love her scenes when she do the "love sign"...and said "Appa, omma, sarang hae yo~". After Shin Bi was diagnosed with leukemia, i bet all those who had watched it would feel for Shin Bi. It's painful to see that little girl suffer under injections and treatments. Aiyo...really touching la.
Dont worry! The ending wont be a disappointment..hehe!
Ratings: 8.5/10 (Shin Bi saved the day...maybe let Chae Young be another nice lady? no kick right? lol!)

What's up recently 3

[SIM] Briefly touched on my school stuffs. Basically I took up 4 units this yr, with a self-study unit...my dear Stats1. The 4 units are Managerial Econs, Human Resource Mgt, Principle of Sociology & Marketing. 3 of them are consider "theory subjects", coz' I need to write essays for exam la. Headache hor? Haizz...
Started lesson for Socio from last month till now, basically it's still alright with me, though the intro topics are kinda dry in content. Touching on "research methods" now, like doing Stats1. Haha!
Had my 1st HRM lect yday, the lecturer was an Indian Muslim ba. Anyway, quite an interesting teacher, at least could talk some crap la. However, when he talked fast ah, his english pronounciation could be quite hard to follow. Hahaha!
Will be attending mkting tmr, and ME on thurs. It would be my first lecture schedule on a afternoon..for ME. Ah..i just hope that i wont fall asleep lah. Lolz!
Well, most of my units are kinda "link-up" now with what i took last yr, especially from IBM. Hahaha...imagine i saw "Hawthorne studies" today in Socio lect. Oh my~~Anyway, i think it's a good thing that i could relate my units together. That's really useful la.
